On booting in to Windows I ran Chkdsk and found no errors on the drive. I went in to the BIOS to check the boot order, and found that my Primary hard drive was no longer listed and was not available for selection, however I was able to Override and force it to boot in to my Primary drive, so the Windows install is still good and it isn't a bad cable. Last night I found it had rebooted itself and was displaying a BOOTMGR IS MISSING error. The PC was upgraded last Friday with no issues, and has been used and rebooted several times since then, again with no issues encountered. In the end, you may need to replace the hard drive, but that is the least likely cause.Having some issues with a desktop upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7 and was hoping someone might be able to help. Why? Well it will take a 'while' to back up all your data from the computer and then to reinstall Windows and finally, get updates, reinstall all your stuff, etc.ĩ.
